Advising using Starfish
Starfish integrates with LionPATH and is the main system for advising notes, progress surveys, and academic reviews. Starfish helps to identify students in need of support in real time, based on their academic performance and concerns raised by faculty and staff. Starfish connects students to the resources designed to help, simplifies communication between faculty and staff members of students’ Success Networks, eases the burden on students who need to contact support services, and optimizes student success.
GPMS Roles Impact What You Can Access
If you are seeing something in Starfish that doesn’t look right or you aren’t seeing something you should, and you know you are filtering correctly, the issue may be that your roles in the GPMS (e.g., program leadership, staff, or coordinator assignments for each program) or LionPATH (e.g., committee assignments or academic adviser assignments) have either not been properly updated or are missing altogether. Please check these pages before submitting a request for help.
