For assistance with benefits like the GI Bill®, Yellow Ribbon Program, or Tuition Assistance Top Up, contact Penn State's Office of Veterans Programs. If you plan to use Tuition Assistance alone, connect with the Office of the Bursar for billing details.

If you're utilizing federal tuition assistance and want to transfer credits from another institution, inform your graduate program adviser upon enrollment. Refer to Graduate Council policy GCAC-309 for more details on Transfer Credit.

Military Relocation & Deployment

The Penn State Graduate School acknowledges that the relocation or deployment of members of the U.S. Military can create interruptions to academic plans. In these situations, we offer options.

Policy Statement

Active-duty service members or activated reserve-component members of the U.S. Armed Forces and/or spouses/domestic partners of active-duty members or activated reserve-component members who are ordered by their military service to relocate or deploy and, as a result, are unable to complete a schedule of courses for a given semester may request a Short–Term Absence, Extended Absence, or a Leave of Absence, or a Partially Cancelled Schedule.
