Procedure
- Minor plans of study are determined by each graduate program. The student should consult with the minor program responsible for the requirements.
- The student should provide the completed Request to Add a Graduate Minor form to the major graduate program, who will submit the form to Graduate Enrollment Services for approval and processing.
- For doctoral minors:
- The Request to Add a Graduate Minor form must be approved, and the minor must be on the student record prior to requesting the comprehensive examination.
- A Graduate Faculty member representing the minor program must be on the student’s doctoral committee.
- For master’s minors:
- Students are encouraged to add the master’s minor early in their program, but they may do so up until, but no later than, the beginning of the semester in which they intend to graduate.
