Academic Goal
To ensure that all students pursuing a professional master’s degree complete their studies in a timely manner.
Purpose
To set the maximum time limit for students pursuing a professional master’s degree.
Scope
All students in a professional master’s degree program.
Policy Statement
- All requirements for a professional master’s degree, including acceptance of the culminating experience, must be met within eight years of the beginning of the first semester of enrollment to the graduate degree program.
- Individual graduate programs may set shorter time limits, as approved through the Graduate Council curricular review process.
