Penn State offers dozens of integrated undergraduate-graduate (IUG) degree programs that combine a bachelor's degree with a master's degree as a continuous program of study. This lets most students:
- complete a master's degree in a shortened time period compared to completing the degrees sequentially
- have earlier interactions with the rigors of graduate education and begin building connections with Graduate Faculty.
- network with graduate students with similar career interests
For full information about IUG programs, refer to Graduate Council Policy GCAC-210 IUG Programs.
Important Guidance for Students in IUG Programs
Students in IUG degree plans must register for courses in specific ways and follow additional procedures to stay in compliance with University and federal policies, and to reduce the risk of impacting financial aid. Additionally, semester reports are required for students depending on their enrollment.
