Templates
We recommend that you start your thesis or dissertation in one of our templates. Our thesis and dissertation templates are pre-formatted to meet Fox Graduate School standards, so you can focus on your writing instead of concerning yourself with formatting.
To get started:
- Download a copy of the template to your computer.
- Open and compose your document in Microsoft Word (recommended).
- When you're ready to submit, save your final document as a PDF.
The templates include sample figures, tables, and step-by-step instructional text to guide you through the process. As you work, refer to the Thesis and Dissertation Handbook alongside the template instructions for complete guidance.
Before You Submit
Make sure all sample text, figures, and tables have been replaced with your own original content.
Completing the Title Page
The title page uses special formatting. Fill in your information where indicated:
- Title, Major, and Full Name — Enter these in the designated fields.
- Copyright — This field is optional. If you choose to include it, enter your full name.
- Degree Type and Graduation Date — Select these using the provided drop-down menus.
Styles and Accessibility
Our templates were created with accessibility in mind. Predefined Styles are applied to all headings, captions, and body text to ensure your document meets accessibility standards.
As you work through the template, you'll notice the appropriate Style listed in parentheses next to each heading and caption. Applying these Styles consistently keeps your document accessible and professionally formatted.
