What is GRATS?

The Graduate Awards Tracking System (GRATS) provides an administrative portal between the college graduate education offices and the Graduate School for information and tracking of the major Graduate School recruitment award programs: University Graduate Fellowships, Bunton-Waller, Graham, and Fund for Excellence in Graduate Recruitment (FEGR).

GRATS training resources are available within the system for Program-Level Users, Committee Reviewers and College-Level Users.

GRADS/GRATS Access Levels

Who can access GRATS?

• Program Staff – Individuals who have been granted graduate program access to the Graduate Admissions Decision System (GRADS) have the ability to nominate students for awards in GRADS as well as assign awards in GRATS (Program Staff do not have access to award allocations or memos)

• Committee Reviewers - Have the ability to view award nominees and add individual committee notes (Committee Reviewers do not have access to award allocations or memos).

• College Deans Office - Have the ability to review, adjust, and approve awards (able to view award allocations and allocation memos).

Access Requests:

Program:  Please contact the administrative coordinator in your college associate dean’s office for graduate education.

Committee Reviewers: If you have committee reviewers that have changed since the prior year or if you should decide to use a committee, the admin coordinator in the college associate dean’s office for graduate education should send an email with the names and user IDs to gradschoolasr@psu.edu.   Please copy your college associate dean for graduate education. 

College Deans Office:  College level access is granted by the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Awards Administration.   Please email gsfellowships@psu.edu and copy your college associate dean for graduate education.
