Resume Study, Change of Major/Degree, and/or Add a Certificate
If you are looking to resume your academic study (after being absent from your academic career for one spring or fall semester), change your major and/or degree, or add a certificate program, you must submit an application. Additional details are available below.
Resume study in the same degree and major after an absence of one or more semesters (excluding summer session).
If you were a nondegree/certificate student after an absence of one or more semesters wanting to resume as a nondegree/certificate student (must be the same certificate).
After you submit your application it will be reviewed by Graduate Enrollment Services and the graduate program for an admission decision. The application will be not be considered complete unless all requested transcripts, references, program specific questions, and documents are submitted.
If you are only resuming in order to submit your intent to graduate you should not complete an application to resume study. Please contact your plan of study to have your record activated in order to submit your intent to graduate. Important Note: This is only for students who have already satisfied all course requirements who need to graduate. Students who still need to enroll in courses should complete an application to resume study.

NOTE: Undergraduates are not eligible for postbaccalaureate or graduate certificates.
