Independent Contractor

An individual hired by Penn State to perform a non-routine activity. Per Policies AC80 and IP06, the individual may not be a current Employee of Penn State. Typically, an Independent Contractor faces the risk of loss as well as profit when providing such services, as opposed to an Employee who does not.
