Penn State Behrend staffs two centers to care for students’ health issues in an atmosphere of confidentiality and respect:  the Health and Wellness Center and the Burke Urgent Care. The Health and Wellness Center is located in the Carriage House, adjacent to the Reed Union Building and Senat Hall. The Burke Urgent Care is our new satellite clinic and is located at the Burke Center in Room 110.

Penn State chemistry graduate student Julie Fenton has been selected to participate in the 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, during which she will interact with Nobel Laureates at Lake Constance in Germany.

Zena Cardman, a doctoral student in geosciences, was named to NASA's 2017 astronaut class on June 7. Cardman and the others are now considered astronaut candidates and will start a two-year training program in August before they can become full astronauts and qualify for spaceflight missions.
