Doctoral Alumni Recognition Weekend

All Doctoral Alumni from the Classes of 1973, 1998 and 2013 are invited to return to campus and participate in a special recognition ceremony hosted by the Dean of the Graduate School on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the University Park campus.
Penn State's annual Doctoral Alumni Recognition Weekend is a celebration of the professional accomplishments of graduate alumni, and the impact of graduate education and research at the university. It is held in conjunction with the Graduate School Alumni Recognition Dinner, which showcases Penn State's outstanding graduate students and alumni.
Alumni Weekend Events
- Presentations by the Dean of the Graduate School and ground-breaking researchers
- Student-led campus bus tours
- The Graduate School Doctoral Alumni Recognition Luncheon
- This special ceremony honors alumni who are celebrating the 10th, 25th and 50th anniversary of receiving a doctoral degree from Penn State. The names of those celebrating their 50th anniversary are unveiled on the Wall of Honor, located in the lobby of the Kern Graduate Building. The Wall of Honor currently displays the names of more than 4,000 Penn State alumni.
- Graduate School Alumni Society Recognition Dinner
- Honorees are invited to celebrate the scholarly work of students and the professional achievements of alumni at this event. Awards presented include the Penn State Alumni Association Dissertation Awards, Graduate School Alumni Society Lifetime Achievement Award, Graduate School Alumni Society Early Career Award, and Graduate School Alumni Society Humanitarian Service Award.
