Schedule an Appointment

Scheduling an appointment with University Health Services is easy. Appointments can be scheduled online through the myUHS secure access portal, or by phone. Appointments for routine health concerns are generally available within a few days, and same-day appointments are often available for acute illnesses and injuries. If you are experiencing a serious condition, please call ahead so we can accommodate your appointment request as soon as possible.

Please note: You must schedule an appointment to be seen by a medical provider. Walk-ins are ONLY allowed for Pharmacy prescription pick-ups.

Before Your Appointment

University Health Services participates with a limited number of insurance plans. Please check with your insurance plan to determine if you are covered when seeking care. For more information visit our billing for medical services page. 

Advice Nurse - 24/7

Not sure if your medical situation is an emergency? Wondering if you need to see a clinician? Our advice nurse can help you decide if your medical problem needs immediate attention and provide you with tips for self-care. Call 814-865-4UHS (4847) (Press 3) to speak with an advice nurse 24/7.

The line is answered by UHS Registered Nurses Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. After these hours and on weekends, the calls are handled by an answering service, and all calls are reviewed by UHS staff on the next business day.

Canceling an Appointment

If you are no longer able to attend your appointment, please cancel by the time frame indicated below. No show fees will be applied to your student account for missed appointments.

• Medical Appointments - To cancel or reschedule an appointment, visit myUHS or call 814-865-4UHS (4847) at least 1 hour before your scheduled appointment time.
  • No-show fee is $20.00
• Physical Therapy Appointments - To cancel or reschedule an appointment, visit myUHS or call 814-865-4UHS (4847) at least 12 hours before your scheduled evaluation appointment and at least 2 hours before your scheduled treatment appointment. If your appointment is early in the morning, you must leave a voicemail at least 12 hours in advance of your scheduled evaluation and at least 2 hours in advance of your treatment appointment.
  • No-show fee is $20.00
